Privacy Policy — Keep In Touch (KIT)

Last updated: 5 August 2026

Keep In Touch ("KIT") is a personal CRM that reminds you who to reach out to. It is built so that your relationships stay yours: there is no KIT server, no account to create, and no analytics. The developer cannot see any of your data.

What KIT stores, and where

Everything KIT records — the people you add, their contact cadence, your logged conversations, notes, and important dates — is stored on your device.

If you are signed in to iCloud, that same data also syncs through your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit private database. This is the same mechanism Apple's own apps use. The data is tied to your Apple Account, and the developer of KIT has no access to it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, KIT falls back to a purely local store and nothing leaves the device at all.

Contacts

KIT asks for permission to read your contacts so you can pick people from your address book instead of typing their names, and so it can import birthdays and other important dates to remind you ahead of time. On macOS it also reads phone numbers in memory in order to match a person against your Beeper chats for avatar syncing.

You can revoke Contacts access at any time in system Settings; KIT keeps working with the people you have already added.

Beeper integration (macOS only)

The optional Beeper avatar sync talks to Beeper Desktop running on your own Mac, over local loopback (127.0.0.1). No data is sent over the internet by this feature. Your Beeper access token is stored in the macOS Keychain and is never transmitted anywhere except to that local Beeper process.

What KIT does not do

Children

KIT is not directed at children and collects nothing that would identify anyone.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its local store. To remove synced data, delete the app's data from iCloud in system Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud. Because the developer has no copy, no deletion request is necessary or possible.

Changes

Any change to this policy will be published in this file, with the date above updated.
